Anyone throughout the world can visit the Company’s site and order a kit to collect material, which is then sent to the lab where the DNA is extracted and analyzed. Results are then posted to the secure site, which the customer is able to access using a unique ID and password. Users are able to evaluate a number of databases for matches for probable, recent and deep ancestral origins by running algorithms developed by Family Tree DNA.
